John Coutis recently attended the 1st Birthday of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) on the Gold Coast in Queensland. The audience included the majority of workers who deliver the scheme’s services to patients in that region.
“Since these guys and girls are working alongside clients that require some very special life assistance,” John said, “I was hoping to show them how important it is to think outside the box.”
“For me, it was a chance to give something back to the community and be able in some small way to inspire, motivate and challenge them to inspire the clients.”
John described how important the service to those who need it to improve their quality of life, “There wasn’t anything like this around when I was growing up, nothing even remotely like it, so it’s about time.”
